A New Home in Chorlton?
According to the Sunday Times 19.05.3 Chorlton ( Chorlton-cum-Hardy ) a popular suburb of Manchester is now a current housing hotspot – ‘exclusive research by Savill’s estate agency identifies it as Manchester’s No 1 up-and-coming area, in a generally abysmal market. Across the city, prices are languishing 3.7% below their 2007 peak. In Chorlton, however, they have risen by 0.8% to £233,150’.
Chorlton has a real community feel with an integrated mixed age group profile. It hosts great shops & bars – for example my wife goes every fortnight to ‘the Unicorn’ a wonderful eclectic vegetarian supermarket. It is easily accessible as the Metro link which is now only 12 mins from Manchester centre and it is also currently being extended directly to Manchester Airport.
It’s a great place to buy property – but don’t forget to get Plans 4 your home to design an extension or prepare plans for planning permission or building regulations for your loft or cellar conversion.
